TPL, Inc. is a leader in the development of advanced dielectric materials.

eight pre-production EnerPaks integrated with small solar cells have been powering eight electric utility substation transformer gas sensors operating in a mesh WSN since September 2008. Each EnerPak has achieved over 75,000 discharge-charge cycles, and counting, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Recapping, Inc

Recapping Inc. and researchers at Pennsylvania State University will seek to develop a novel energy storage device based on a 3D nanocomposite structure with functional oxides that provide a very high effective capacitance. The basic fabrication of the dielectric materials and devices will utilize traditional multilayer ceramic fabrication methods

Planar Energy
Planar's electrolyte chemistries have more than 1,000 times the conductivity of vacuum-deposited electrolytes and ionic conductivity equal to that of high-performance liquid electrolytes, but without their drawbacks

Paper Battery Co.
Troy, N.Y. based Paper Battery Co., meanwhile, is making flexible 100-micrometer-thick energy-storage sheets that could be molded onto electronics and medical devices or laminated beneath flexible solar panels. Both Paper Battery and Planar Energy claim they should be able to print meters of batteries at a low cost.

Sion Power's Li-S technology provides rechargeable cells with a specific energy of over 350 Wh/kg, which is 50% greater than the currently commercially available rechargeable battery technologies

EEStor I'm still holding on to my random meeting of a Lockheed Martin employee..."Wait 2 years is all I'm gonna say." --August of 2009 EEStor Audio:

Took 5 years to develop Bloom box(began in 2001)after initial R&D with NASA and another 2 years in field testing to validate the tech. Now has big bucks financing, something like 400 mil. All was done in stealth. First commercial product in 2008 to google. Public reveal was almost 2 years later in Feb 2010 on 60 minutes. Have patience all.
